Programs
Our Four Main Programs are:
- Technology Transfer- we scan through technologies out in the market which can benefit small scale farmers ranging from scouting and access to development covering proof of concept, feasibility determination through cost benefit analysis(CBA), product/variety testing, release and registration, technology demonstrations through collaborative efforts with governments and relevant organizations for policy advocacy, regulatory compliance to ensure smooth development and commercialization of products and technical outreach targeting engagement with policy/decision makers and conducting farmers awareness and public participation.
- Food and Nutrition Security– we link farmers to the agricultural value chain, providing them with technical support to increase productivity and improve the livelihoods. We Support these small scale farmers (SMEs) with advice on access to seedlings, technical advice on farm systems, mechanization & digital agribusiness, advocacy to government policies that create good ecosystems where they will thrive; train on post-harvest management to reduce food wastage & prevent crop spoil, and climate resilience.
- Economic Empowerment- Agriculture and related value chains hold the best promise of employing the youth. We offer training programs on entrepreneurship skills to alleviate poverty among marginalized, vulnerable communities targeting farmers in rural areas by giving them skills on increasing their revenue as well as making them climate resilient. We work closely with Technical & Vocational Education & Training(TVETs) in building capacity and entrepreneurship skills. We design trainings (Entrepreneurship Skills, Financial Management, Tax Advisory, Human Resource Management and Corporate Governance) depending on different sectors including Not for profit
- Environmental Sustainability & Governance (ESG) – We specialize on training organizations and communities on the importance of ESG and how to measure progress made through preparation of sustainable reports using the global standards and corporate governance. We encourage communities. Private and public sectors to incorporate sustainability in the organizations. we train farmers on climate resilience crop management and regenerative agricultural practices as well as financial management, modern innovative energy conservation technologies and mobilizing communities on tree planting.
We work with partners to scale out outputs and access to good quality seedlings, finance to facilitate investments in agricultural activities to support farmers to enhance productivity, integrate into value chains, ultimately improve the livelihoods while contributing to food security and sustainability.
